Friday 28th September: This morning we held a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support; we were delighted that so many people came to support us and very pleased to raise £301.21! Thanks to everyone who helped us in any way!
Thursday 27th September:
This term we have been taking part in the 100 word challenge and, for the younger ones, the 5 sentence challenge; schools from around the world take part. This week we were very proud when one of our P3s 5 sentences were chosen for the weekly showcase!
This morning we all baked ready for the coffee morning tomorrow. P1 and P2 worked with Jennifer to make cakes and everyone else worked in pairs with the own choice of recipe and did an excellent job with only a very little help!
Monday 24th September: This morning P1 and P2 read Mrs Honey's Hat by Pam Adams; afterwards they designed their own hats.
Friday 21st September: Today as part of our science work we investigated string telephones.
Thursday 20th September: This morning everyone walked down to the gallery at the Old Haa to see the exhibition of paintings by Anne Barron and to see the knitted hens made by Joan Poleson.
Monday 10th September: Today P1 and P2 shared the story of The Big Pancake; in the afternoon they made pancakes.
Friday 7th September: This afternoon we were making musical instruments in technology - this links with our work about sound in science.
Monday 3rd September: Today P1 and P2 read the story of The Gingerbread Man. This afternoon they baked their own Gingerbread Men; they looked and smelled delicious!
