October 2009
Wednesday 28th October: Today was the first day of the new term. Everyone has had a very good holiday. This term we are going to be learning about the Ancient Egyptians and about African animals. We are going to be trying some games based learning using African Safari on the Wii.
Friday 9th October: Today is the end of term.
More glove puppets
Thursday 8th October: This morning Pam Rodway and Norman Leask came to talk to us about the next stages in the Crofting Connections project that we are involved with. Mary Williamson, our crofting neighbour, who is going to help us, also came in to meet Pam and Norman.
Wednesday 7th October: Today we harvested our cauliflowers and some more of our potatoes. The cauliflowers were a bit small but we didn't think they would grow any more.
Tuesday 6th October: As part of our Toys project we have been making lots of different kinds of puppets including glove puppets: these 2 fit well with the work we have done with Guitar Hero!
Friday 2nd October: This afternoon we made sock puppets with Mrs Lewis and then had a puppet parade.
