Friday 28th November: Today Ms Breyley and some of P7 went up to Cullivoe School to help them get started with Glow, we had a few technical problems but we hope that they will soon be able to Glow meet with us.
Tuesday 25th November: Today we had a visit from Chris Horrix and Andy Causton from the Schools Service. Andy came to ask us about school and after school activities.
Friday 21st November: Today we had snow and we measured the outside temperature as part of our daily weather observations, it was -3°C.
Friday 14th November: Today is Children in Need Day; we decided to have a line of coins and ask everyone who came in to add some money. We were amazed at how much we raised and how long the line was! We made £86.64 which got rounded up to £100 and made a line which was 45.96m long. The older ones measured the line and everyone helped with collecting up and counting the money.
Wednesday 12th November: Today P4, P5 and P7 went to the Clickimin Centre for small schools' sports activities. They played handball, football, dodgeball, netball, bowls and did athletics. They all enjoyed the day and are very grateful to all the Active Schools Team for organising the day.
Tuesday 11th November: Today P1, P2 and P3 went with Jennifer and Mrs Underwood to Baltasound JHS to see Catherine Wheels perform A Town called Elsewhere. They were with all the other North Isles Schools and had a great time.
Friday 7th November: This morning P1 were using the interactive whiteboard to put weather symbols on the map.
Wednesday 5th November: Today P7 were spotting problems and solving them again - we are so proud of them! We nearly lost our outside bin during the gales so we had put it in a cupboard - they knew it was no good in a cupboard so they rescued it and have now found a way of tying it down so people can still use it and keep our grounds tidy.
Tonight most people are going to the Firework Display in Burravoe.
Tuesday 4th November: This morning P1, P2 and P3 went to the Leisure Centre in Mid Yell to do a drama workshop with The Catherine Wheels Theatre Company; they joined with Cullivoe and Mid Yell Schools.
Monday 3rd November: Today P7 finished the chest of drawers; they made a very good job of it and are deciding what they would like for a reward!
