Thursday 31st May
Y dance came again but this time it was Yolanda. We went to the Hall so we could have more space.
Wednesday 30th May
We use Polydrons in mathematics.
Monday 28th May
As part of our numeracy development work we have been using games for problem solving.
Friday 25th May
Sarah, from Ydance and Donna, our active schools co-ordinator, came today for the first of our Dance Sessions.
Friday18th May
Even though we have been sharing our school with the builders we have still been able to have fun!
The painters have been at work this week. We think the builders may finish next week. We shall be glad to be able to use all our things again. It will take us a while to get used to using the space as the build has completely changed our hall.
Tuesday 15th May
Today P5, P6 and P7 went to Brae for football training with people from lots of other schools.
Sunday 13th May
The access build is almost finished now. The outside is finished and the painters need to paint the internal ramp. The bathroom walls are up.
Friday 11th May
Today, Elaine Skinley came again, this time to give a lesson to P1 and P2 to make sure that they know how to get on their bikes properly and how to start and stop safely. She taught them about some road signs as well.
Vladik went to Unst with the Yell Football Team. The primary team beat Unst; Vladik played in midfield.
Wednesday 9th May
We planted up the hanging basket and some pots. We planted some carrot and tomato seeds; later on we will pot them on into patio tubs.
Friday 4th May
Today Elaine Skinley, Shetland's Road Safety Officer, came to do the final part of the cycle training for P5. Everyone had to do the test and Elaine said they were all good enough to be on the road but they must continue to be safe.
Wednesday 2nd May
At the moment we are learning about China, today we tried some Chinese cookery. We used our electric wok.
