Today we went to the Crofting Trail on Trondra. We groomed the Shetland foals, fed the caddy lambs, the hens and the turkeys and collected eggs from the hens and the ducks. We were allowed to pick up the day old chicks and went into see the sow with her 5 piglets. We also had a look around the renovated watermill and saw the stones where the Shetland oats and corn were ground. We went on to Meal Beach on Burra.

We went to Joe and Mary Jane's polytunnels to buy some new plants for the tubs and raised bed in the garden. Polytunnels are really useful in Shetland because they protect the plants from the wind.
