Thursday 30th January: Today our pony, who we have called Peerie, was packed up to start his long journey to Brunei; he is going to
SR Binturan, Tutong I first and then he will travel on to a school in Jersey. We sent postcards and souvenirs for both schools and we decorated the box with pictures of Burravoe.
Tuesday 28th January: This evening Mrs Lawson and I had a planning meeting with our business partners for our Food for Thought project; we are very grateful to them all for helping us.
Monday 27th January: We are very pleased to have been asked to decorate some shields for the Culliove Jarl; we started work on it this week but can't share the pictures until after the event!
Monday 20th January: This morning we took a picture of all of us with the Shetland pony which we are sending to Brunei and then on to Jersey as part of Shetland's project to support our second teams for the Commonwealth Games 2014 in Glasgow. Our P3 designed the jumper which our pony is wearing; it was knitted for us by a lady in Unst.
Monday 13th January: Today Ms Nicholson started working with us; she is a BEd4 student from Aberdeen University and will be working with us for the rest of this term.
Wednesday 8th January: Today we were contacted by a school in Northern Territory, Australia. It has 6 pupils and is on a cattle station. It is called Tipperary Station School. They asked if we would like to do some collaborative work with them as we are a small and isolated school too. We decided we would send Magnie to visit them.
