Monday January 23rd: This week we have started quadblogging with a new group of schools. We are sharing with Port Ellen School on Islay; Waterloo School in Blackpool, England and with Bon Accord School in Alberta, Canada.
Thursday January 19th: When Martha from the RSPB came she reminded us about making our own fatballs for the birds. We made some this afternoon.
Tuesday 17th January: This afternoon in French P5 and P7 made chocolate mousse; the recipe was written in French.
Monday 16th January: On Monday afternoons we walk to Burravoe Hall to have PE; this term we are practising ball control skills using a large ball.
Friday 13th January: Today it was the last pair's turn to teach us all a dance routine.
Thursday 12th January: This afternoon P7 joined with all the other Yell P7s and started having science lessons with Mr Maclean at the JHS as part of their transition to secondary education.
Wednesday 11th January: This term we are going to do some work with the pupils at Foula School, another primary school on a Shetland Island. We are starting by doing some collaborative story writing. We all wrote story starts today and are going to pass them on to someone else to write the next part. We'll publish them when they are finished!
Tuesday 10th January: Mlle Boulay brought a gallette today and showed us what happens in France on 12th Night. The gallette is cut into slices and one slice has a porcelain figure on the bottom. The youngest person hides under the table and calls out a name to get each slice; the person who gets the figure become the king or queen and gets a crown to wear.
Monday 9th January: We are learning about colour and light in science this term. Today we made shadow puppets.
