January 2009
Wednesday 28th January: Today Martin came; we walked to the Hall so we could have more space for activities. We worked at becoming more efficient in what we were doing by working as a team. First we were a car factory and later we had to all get on to a shrinking island surrounded by crocodiles!
Tuesday 27th January: Today was another nice day so this time we walked to the shop at lunchtime.
Wednesday 21st January: Today was a nice day so at lunchtime we went for a walk to the marina to see Mia's Dad's new boat.
Monday 19th January: Today Kay and Lucy did Show and Tell. Lucy told us about her Disneyland souvenirs. Kay had made Mr Motivator and son sock puppets and had us all doing our exercises!
Friday 16th January: In after school club today, we split into two groups to design a treasure hunt for the other team. Next week we will be treasure hunting.
Wednesday 14th January: Martin Rickard came today; we are working collaboratively to solve challenges. Today we chose to have a boys' group and a girls' group.
Monday 12th January: This term we are going to have a shop in the role play area. We decided it should be Aywick Shop; P2,P3, P4 and P5 set it up for us. P1 and P2 have been playing in it and learning about money.
Thursday 8th January: Today P7 went to science with all of the other P7s in Yell who will be in their S1 class next year. They are going to go every Thursday afternoon this term.
Wednesday 7th January: Today Martin Rickard came for the afternoon; he is going to work with P3-P7 this term. We all thought about what it takes to be an effective team member.
Monday 5th January: Today was very cold but we had a beautiful sunrise and then a lovely sunset.
Friday 2nd January 2009: Happy New Year! Term starts on Tuesday 6th January. For the first part of this term our topic will be Norway.
