Thursday 26th February: Today the Cullivoe Jarl Squad came to meet us at the Leisure Centre. This year they brou ght musicians and sang to us! Afterwards they let those that wanted to try out their swords, shields and helmets.

Wednesday 25th February: Today we had a visit from Brian Hamilton, the Yell PC and Michael Coutts who is the "Drugs Dogs" handler. He bought Buzz and Nico to meet everyone and explained about what they do and how they do it. Afterwards he talked to P7 about drugs awareness.


Friday 20th February: Today we were very pleased to welcome an "old pupil" of the school for a visit. Lindsay Odie is now a teacher at Preston Street Primary School in Edinburgh; he was able to give us some useful tips about good software and downloads!
Wednesday 18th February: Yesterday and today we had visitors to the school as we were having training days for our new MIS. All the guests commented on how well everyone coped with the invasion! This afternoon we went to the hall with Martin Rickard. We had to get everyone across an acid swamp using only a few blocks - it took a lot of team work. After school, Mrs Budge and Ms Henry (CPD co-ordinator) came to visit us.
Tuesday 17th February: Today we were very pleased to learn that the work we have been doing using Glow was being promoted at a national level.
Friday 13th February: School has been closed for the last 2 days because we had lots more snow. Now that we have Glow we could put snow tasks on there for people to do. There was still no transport today but the rest of us had a Glow chat with some of the people stuck at home in the snow.
Tuesday 10th February: School was open today and we were able to play outside in the snow.

Monday 9th February: Today there was so much snow that school was closed for the day.
Friday 6th February: There was a lot of snow in the night so there was no school transport.
Thursday 5th February: This afternoon we had a lot of snow so we decided not to go to Mid Yell for PE.
Tuesday 3rd February: This afternoon Helen Budge, Shetland's Head of Schools, came to visit us. We showed her some of the work we had been doing with Storytelling Alice and 2 create a story.
Monday 2nd February: We have been writing stories using 2 create a story; this is Elouise's story.
