Wednesday 27th August: This week Jennifer has been looking at Red Riding Hood with some of the younger ones. This morning they baked cakes like the ones that Red Riding Hood might have taken to Grandma.
In the afternoon Andy Ross from Global Yell came to start a 5 week Pirates Project with us.
Tuesday 26th August: This morning Sian Thomas came to do a drama session with us; we are very sorry that she is leaving Shetland soon and were very pleased that she could come and work with us before she goes.
Monday 25th August: Today we took some photos of our front bed: earlier in the year we sowed a packet of wild flower seeds and they are looking very beautiful We also looked at our kohl rabi and peas. Some of our cauliflowers went over very quickly but fortunately we know some pigs who will enjoy them!
Friday 22nd August: Mrs Martin came to teach us music today but from now on music will be on Monday afternoons.
Thursday 21st August: Today we welcomed Mrs Colclough; she will be teaching every Thursday. This afternoon we went to Mid Yell Leisure Centre for our first PE and swimming lessons of this session.
Wednesday 20th August: Today we were very pleased to welcome our 2 new pupils and Ms Smith who will be teaching in Burravoe this year. It was lovely to hear what everyone has been up to over the summer holidays: you can read some of the news on the children's blog - see the link at the top of the page.
