Sunday 29th April
Today the weather is warm and sunny - a good day for gardening. Some of the girls came to help. We took some photos of the access work going on outside as well.
Friday 27th April
P1 and P2 went to the Leisure Centre for an activity morning with the Nursery and all of Yell's P1s and P2s.
Tuesday 24th April
The builders are still working hard! Our indoor ramp is nearly finished and they are working on turning the old office into a new bathroom.
Wednesday April 25th
As part of one of Shetland's YMI projects, today we all went to Cullivoe Hall to work with Chroma and with Cullivoe School. The theme was the tango and we all learned about composition. Everyone composed their own tango.
Friday April 20th
Today P5 started their cycling training. Elaine Skinley, from Shetland's Road Safety Unit, came to do the training. She bought everyone a new cycle helmet and a high vis vest.
We are having our access improved so that people with mobility difficulties can use our school. The builders did some of the very messy work during the holidays but there is still a lot of work to do. Today Vladik took pictures of them building the internal ramp; there is a new ramp outside too.
We are all having to share the boys' toilets whilst the work is going on so Vladik designed and made a sign!
